Founders Pamela Cowan, M.B.A., and Dr. Edward Jones, DVM, are both seasoned professionals; Pam is a compassionate individual who has dedicated years to ensuring individuals have access to quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare services. Dr. J is a loving veterinarian with over 25 years of experience in the public health sector and with experience working in an educational environment with the Carroll County School District. We opened Pineapple Village because we wanted to support individuals with special needs, and we also know through experience caregivers often are left without a caring, nurturing environment for their loved ones to thrive and be a part of a community. Our motto is "It takes a village," and we want to be that community resource and partner that provides services to participants and their caregivers.
We are a family-run business. Kennedy Cowan is a UGA graduate (Go Dawgs!) with a Master’s in Nonprofit Management and Community Development. She has experience developing community relationships, organizing volunteer events, and developing programs. She’s excited to develop the daily and monthly schedule tailored to our program participants.
We also have a behavioral specialist on staff who provides strategies and positive interventions to support our individuals if they need them. Dr. Melissa Howard has over 15 years of experience working with our population.
In addition to our team, we love the outdoors, family time, and spending time with our two fur babies, Harvey and Zo.
